Revelation Chapter 8:1-6 Silence in heaven for about half an hour

Revelation Chapter 8:1-6 Silence in heaven for about half an hour

Silence in heaven for about half an hour.

REVELATION 8:1-2When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them we given seven trumpets.

The Great Judge Elohim rouses Himself from His Holy dwelling, an awe of silence sweeps over all of those who are in attendance. As the multitudes watch, seven angels are given seven (trumpets) shofars. They accept their mission unable to speak as the Spirit of God empowers them to do God’s will.

The Judgments are unspeakable and an awe of the fear and glory of the Lord moves over the multitudes. Unified in silence, they watch as another angel comes into view, he is carrying a golden censer. As he approaches the golden altar before Almighty God much incense is given to him. At once the angel begins his commission, he lifts his hands and offers the extraordinary amount of prayers that had been gathered as one from the saints. Smoke from the incense filled the air as it ascended unto God. Then the angel turns and fills his censer with fire from the altar, then in a mighty thrust he hurls it down upon the earth. Those who had come out of the great tribulation gasped as they watched lightning flash across the firmament and the great earthquake that shook all of creation below. Then those who were given trumpets prepared to blow them.

Revelation eight’s trumpets are not the trumpet (voice) that the Apostle John speaks of in Revelation 1:10. Revelation eights trumpets or shofars are in essence the eternal actual, (to them are given seven trumpets). The trumpets which sounded throughout Israel’s history were in fact a copy of the eternal heavenly pattern just as the Tabernacle was, for it too was a copy and shadow of the eternal pattern of God so He could dwell amongst them. There is an amazing revelation in the past Tabernacles pattern that reveals the same truth that Jesus reveals in John 14:6 ‘I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the father except through me’. They the past Levite Priests of the law, even after the ordained sacrifices still had to pass or go through the pre-requisite of Christ Jesus (pattern eternal Tabernacle) to be able to stand before God.

Revelation 8:1-2.   Painting – 2005.

In 2005 I was given the first two verses of Revelation chapter eight to paint. I have not released this painting until now ( September 2014) some nine years after its completion.  At that time I wasn’t to portray the seven angels blowing their trumpets, I was only to portray them as being given to them. Obviously there is a pause here between the angels receiving the trumpets and blowing them. I believe this could possibly speak of a period of extraordinary grace given to people to see what they haven’t previously understood or believed. Isaiah 52:15 says, Kings will stand speechless in His presence. For they will see what they had not previously been told about; they will understand what they had not heard about.

This painting along with the other four prophetic paintings were not something I would have done if I hadn’t of been called to do them. Since 2001 many times I asked God, why did I do them? And many times I worried about the idol connotations especially when they represented a divine order, but they are not a carved image nor are they something to be worshipped either.

I love what Smith Wigglesworth wrote, “it is the Spirit who gives liberty, the Prophet is nothing, but the Spirit brings us into attainment where we sit at His feet and seek with Him and have communications of things divine.”

1 Corinthians 13:8-10But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes the imperfect disappears.
